Nursing Faculty Resilience

Dear Esteemed Colleague,

You are being asked to participate in this research study because you are a faculty member in a school/college of nursing in the United States or Canada.

The purpose of this study is to explore the concepts of resilience, moral courage, and purpose in nursing faculty. The study is being conducted by Dr. Teresa M. Stephens and Dr. Angela Stanley at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). It should take 15-20 minutes (or less) to complete. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at MUSC.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You may refuse to take part in the research or exit the survey at any time without penalty. You are free to decline to answer any particular question you do not wish to answer for any reason.

You will receive no direct benefits from participating in this research study. However, your responses may help us learn more about the relationships between resilience, moral courage, and purpose in nursing faculty.

There are no foreseeable risks involved in participating in this study other than those encountered in day-to-day life.

Your survey answers will be submitted through Redcap where data will be stored in a password protected electronic format. Redcap does not collect identifying information such as your name, email address, or IP address. Therefore, your responses will remain anonymous. No one will be able to identify you or your answers, and no one will know whether or not you participated in the study.
